Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team and enhance the safety and security of our premises in Northampton. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in security operations, possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and maintain a strong sense of professionalism and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and patrol assigned areas, detecting and deterring potential threats
• Enforce company security policies and procedures, including access control and surveillance
• Respond effectively to security incidents, such as alarms, suspicious activity, or emergencies
• Conduct thorough security inspections and report any vulnerabilities or concerns
• Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency services as needed
• Provide excellent customer service and assist staff and visitors in a safe and courteous manner
• Maintain accurate logs and documentation, including incident reports and security assessments
• Stay abreast of industry best practices and advancements in security technologies

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in security operations
• Strong knowledge of security regulations and protocols
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Physical fitness and ability to work long hours in a demanding environment
• Valid SIA badge or willingness to obtain one
• Clean criminal record
• First Aid and CPR certification preferred
