Overview
EarnFlex Ltd. is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Full-Time Security Officer to join our team in Askwith, Otley. The successful candidate will play a vital role in safeguarding our premises and ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees, visitors, and assets.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises and surrounding area, ensuring the security and integrity of the site
- Monitor surveillance equipment (e.g., CCTV cameras, access control systems) and respond to alarms or suspicious activity
- Enforce security policies and procedures, including access control, parking restrictions, and visitor registration
- Screen visitors and contractors, verifying their credentials and ensuring proper authorization
- Conduct thorough incident investigations and prepare detailed reports
- Maintain and inspect security systems, ensuring they are in proper working order
- Assist with emergency situations, including evacuation and first aid
- Collaborate with law enforcement and other security agencies as needed
- Keep abreast of security trends and best practices
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification
- 1+ years of experience in a security officer role
- Knowledge of security procedures, policies, and regulations
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills
- Physical fitness and ability to perform physical tasks associated with security duties
- Experience with surveillance equipment and security systems
- First aid and CPR certification preferred
- SIA (Security Industry Authority) license in the UK or equivalent required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
