Overview:
EarnFlex Ltd. seeks an experienced Security Officer for our Balsham, Cambridge location. The successful candidate will play a vital role in safeguarding our premises, personnel, and assets, ensuring a secure work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular patrols of designated areas to deter crime and maintain order
- Monitor security cameras, access control systems, and other equipment to anticipate threats
- Respond promptly to security breaches, alarms, and other emergencies
- Document incidents, take statements, and assist law enforcement as necessary
- Control access to buildings, grounds, and other restricted areas
- Enforce company security policies and procedures, including visitor management
- Perform basic fire prevention, evacuation, and first aid duties
- Maintain security logs and report suspicious activities or potential hazards
- Assist with crowd and traffic control as needed
- Liaise with other security personnel, management, and law enforcement agencies
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience in law enforcement, military security, or the private security industry
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills
- Strong attention to detail, situational awareness, and vigilance
- Proficient in security systems, equipment, and protocols
- Excellent physical condition and able to withstand demanding shifts and emergencies
- Valid UK driving license
- SIA (Security Industry Authority) License or equivalent certification desirable
- First aid certificate preferred
- Knowledge of fire prevention and evacuation procedures desirable
- Clean background check required
