We are currently looking for a vigilant and professional Security Officer to join our team in Bodmin. As a Security Officer, you will play an important role in protecting our facilities, employees, and visitors.

 

Security Officer Key responsibilities:

• Conduct regular patrols to prevent and detect any unauthorized activities on the premises.
• Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems to discover and respond to potential security threats.
• Respond properly and quickly to situations such as medical events, fire alarms, and security breaches.
• Enforce security processes and company rules to guarantee compliance and meet safety standards.
• Answer visitors' and employees' questions and concerns.
• Create complete incident reports and keep accurate records of security-related actions.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed to handle security issues.
• Participate in training programmers to improve security skills and stay current on industry best practices.

Security Officer Requirements: 

• Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or related industries is recommended but not necessary.
• Possession of a current security licence or the capacity to obtain one.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and great problem-solving skills.
• Flexibility in working varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Physical stamina and the ability to stand or walk for long periods of time.
• Knowledge of basic first aid and emergency response methods is beneficial.
• Valid SIA licence, proof of right to work in the UK, proof of address, and 5 years of work experience.
