Bromyard Security Officer Job Description

We're looking for a diligent and dedicated Security Officer to join our team in Bromyard. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our facilities, workers, and visitors.

Key responsibilities:

• Conduct regular patrols to dissuade and identify unauthorised activity on the premises.
• Regularly monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems to discover and respond to any potential security concerns.
• Respond properly and quickly to situations such as medical events, fire alarms, and security breaches.
• Enforce security processes and company rules to guarantee compliance and meet safety standards.
• Answer visitors' and employees' questions and concerns.
• Create complete incident reports and keep accurate records of security-related actions.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services to handle security issues.
• Participate in training programmes to improve your security skills and remain current on industry best practices.
   

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or related disciplines is preferable, but not necessary.
• Possession of a current security licence or the capacity to obtain one.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and great problem-solving skills.
• Flexibility in working varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Physical stamina and the ability to stand or walk for long periods of time.
• Knowledge of basic first aid and emergency response methods is beneficial.
• A valid SIA licence, proof of eligibility to work in the UK, proof of address, and a five-year job history.
