Full time Security Officer in Galashiels

Overview

EarnFlex Ltd. is looking for a highly motivated and observant Full-time Security Officer to join our team in Galashiels. The ideal candidate will be in charge of protecting our facilities and assets while also assuring the safety and well-being of our employees and guests.
 

Responsibilities

• Monitor and patrol the premises, including the entrances and exits, to prevent unauthorised access.
• Conduct security checks for visitors, employees, and contractors.
• Report any suspicious behaviour or security breaches to the proper authorities.
• Respond to emergencies and aid in evacuations.
• Use security equipment, such as CCTV cameras, alarm systems, and access control systems.
• Keep precise logs and records of all security issues.
• Follow all established security policies and procedures.
• Cooperate with other security professionals and law enforcement agencies.
• Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a professional demeanour.
   

Qualifications

1. Previous experience as a security officer in a similar setting
2. Physical fitness and the ability to work extended hours
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
4. Excellent attention to detail and situational awareness
5. Knowledge of security best practices and legal requirements
6. Clear Criminal Record Bureau (CRB) check or equivalent
7. First Aid and CPR certifications preferred
