Job Title: Full-time Security Officer

 

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated, vigilant, and proactive security officer to ensure the safety and security of our premises and staff in Moreton, Dorchester. The role requires an individual who is dedicated to maintaining high standards of surveillance, access control, and emergency response within our facilities.

 

Responsibilities:

• Monitor the security of the building, its perimeter, and adjacent property
• Conduct regular patrols of the premises, both indoors and outdoors, to deter and detect suspicious activity
• Operate security cameras, alarms, and access control systems
• Screen and admit authorized visitors, and control unauthorized entry
• Respond swiftly to security breaches, emergencies, and incidents
• Report all suspicious activity and incidents to management promptly
• Maintain accurate security logs and incident reports
• Assist law enforcement or emergency personnel as needed
• Comply with company safety regulations and policies
• Conduct foot patrol, drive patrol or use bicycles as needed to enhance security coverage
• Maintain open lines of communication with staff, visitors, and contractors to enhance situational awareness

 

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous work experience as a security officer preferred
• Strong understanding of security principles and procedures
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Keen observation skills and situational awareness
• Ability to work independently and under pressure
• Physically capable of performing patrols and responding to emergencies
• Ability to maintain a professional and discreet demeanor
