Description Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Security Officer to join our team in Wigton. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our premises, personnel, and assets.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct security patrols of the premises on foot or by vehicle to monitor and deter unauthorized access or suspicious activity
- Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and incidents to assess the situation and take appropriate action
- Monitor surveillance cameras and CCTV systems to detect potential threats or breaches
- Enforce company security policies and procedures, including access control, key management, and vehicle movement
- Assist with incident investigations and provide reports as required
- Maintain communication with law enforcement and other relevant authorities when necessary
- Ensure that all security equipment and systems are in working order
- Assist with crowd control and traffic management during events or emergencies
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Security Officer with a minimum of 2 years in a similar role
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
- Physical fitness and stamina to perform security patrols and respond to emergencies
- Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for suspicious activity
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of security best practices and emergency response protocols
- SIA (Security Industry Authority) license is highly desirable
- First Aid certification is an advantage
