Security Officer in Galway

Overview

EarnFlex Ltd., a leading tech company in Galway, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Security Officer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of employees, visitors, and assets within the company's on-site premises at H91 YX62, Galway, Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and patrol the premises to detect any suspicious activity or security breaches
• Screen visitors and contractors at the entrance, verifying identification and authorizing access
• Conduct regular security inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with regulations
• Operate and maintain surveillance systems, including CCTV cameras and access control mechanisms
• Respond to security alarms and emergencies promptly and effectively
• Coordinate with law enforcement and other security services as needed
• Keep accurate records of all security incidents and activities
• Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor while interacting with employees, visitors, and contractors
• Follow all company policies and procedures related to security and safety

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Security Officer or in a related field
• Strong knowledge of security best practices, including access control, perimeter security, and surveillance
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Physical fitness and ability to perform physical tasks required for the role
• Valid Irish driving license and clean driving record
• Garda vetting and security clearance is required
