Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Security Officer to join our team in Penzance. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a secure and incident-free environment at our designated location.

Security Officer Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine patrols of the premises, both inside and outside
• Monitor and respond to security alarms and emergency situations
• Screen and admit visitors, verifying their identity and escorting them as needed
• Enforce company security policies and procedures
• Conduct security inspections of vehicles, personnel, and packages
• Report all security incidents, observations, and concerns to management
• Maintain accurate records and prepare incident reports
• Assist in the implementation of security upgrades and enhancements
• Cooperate with local law enforcement and emergency responders as necessary
• Remain alert and vigilant at all times

Security Officer Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Security Officer
• Excellent physical condition with strong attention to detail
• Proficient in communication, both verbally and in writing
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong understanding of security principles and best practices
• Familiarity with security equipment and technology
• Clean criminal record
• Valid Security Industry Authority (SIA) license (or ability to obtain one)
